the soft spaces
Friday, September 19th @ 7pm
Saturday, September 20th @ 2pm
PWYC ($5-$25)
'the soft spaces' is a multi-disciplinary dance-theatre project created and performed by Andrew Barrett. Based in his experience growing up on Salt Spring island, Andrew investigates where the geography that raised him and his Queerness intersect and thrive. Using movement, video, music, and text, the work grapples with the spaces between islands and bodies; Queerness and conformity; care and self-deception.
This is a workshop presentation. It is the first public sharing after two years of redevelopment.
